Kyra Cook came to Williamsburg to attend the College of William & Mary. She graduated with a degree in history. Her career includes work with the Williamsburg Health Foundation where she reviewed grant proposals to improve the health of the Williamsburg community; serving on the Williamsburg Area Arts Commission, the Williamsburg Regional Library Board, and on the WJCC School Board. Currently, she is Director of Special Projects at Colonial Behavioral Health.
Tim Cywinski is a political communications professional, grassroots advocacy trainer, and a lifelong advocate for a just, livable future that leaves no one behind. His career in political advocacy spans more than 12 years and has centered on pushing for policy that advances social and environmental justice while addressing issues related to student rights, public education, college affordability, economic justice, and climate change. Tim currently leads public relations and political communications efforts of the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter with a focus on ensuring the public and press has a firm grasp on climate solutions and environmental justice. Prior to the Sierra Club, Tim held a multitude of positions related to electoral campaigning, community organizing, federal and state level lobbying. Outside of his professional position, Tim presents strategic communications, grassroots planning, and legislative advocacy training to civic and community groups.
Han Jones (they/them), political director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia, has been working in political campaigns in Virginia and across the country for the last six years, with the goal of electing progressive leaders who will serve as reproductive rights champions. Han earned their BA and MA from Brown University studying Gender and Sexuality, Public Policy and American Institutions, and Behavioral and Social Science Interventions. They are proud to be an Organizer at heart, having gotten their start in politics as an Organizer as part of the 2016 and 2017 elections in Virginia. Han has also managed campaigns and political programs in Virginia and beyond. |
