At the Candlelight Vigil, Williamsburg JCC Indivisible and the League of Women Voters of the Williamsburg Area, together with Williamsburg residents, will urge Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, the Freedom to Vote Act, the Native American Voting Rights Act, and the Washington D.C. Admission Act. Let's realize John Lewis’ vision for democracy and protect the freedom to vote!
Join us Wednesday July 17 at 8pm at the Williamsburg-James City County Courthouse to light a candle to commemorate the life of a great American and acknowledge the "Fierce Urgency of Now" in which we find ourselves!
Bring a sign, a chair, if needed, and water - it will be hot! We have candles and music and great chants!
