Peaceful Protest This Thursday - Local I.C.E. Activity
This Thursday there is a peaceful protest in response to recent I.C.E. activity in the Williamsburg area. The event is organized by Virginia Organizing.
While our local League chapter isn’t an official partner in this action, we’re sharing it with you because the League has clear positions on immigration and human rights. We encourage you to take a look, spread the word, and join in if you feel called to do so.
Why This Matters
This kind of action raises deep concerns. The League of Women Voters supports individual rights protected by the Constitution, including due process and equal protection under the law. It also advocates for fair immigration policies, nondiscrimination, and social policies that meet basic human needs.
