Mike Studeman on the evolving dynamics of U.S.-China strategic competition in an era of rapid global change. Drawing on decades of intelligence and national security experience, he will explore how shifting power balances, technological rivalry, and regional flashpoints are reshaping the international order — and what they may mean for the future of global stability.

About the Speaker
|
|
Rear Admiral Studeman retired in 2023 after 35 years in the Navy, attaining the rank of two-star admiral. He led thousands of intelligence professionals at sea and ashore and commanded a Global Communications Center, Cyber Intelligence Center, and the Office of Naval Intelligence. As a flag officer, he also served as Intelligence Director for the Indo-Pacific and South America regions.

He is a William & Mary alumnus, a distinguished graduate of the Naval Postgraduate School, a distinguished graduate of the National War College, and an honors graduate in Mandarin Chinese from the Defense Language Institute.
