The League of Women Voters is nonpartisan. We do not support
or oppose political parties or candidates, but we do
advocate on public policy issues.
Our advocacy is guided by positions adopted by the national
and Virginia Leagues. Developed through member study and
agreement, these positions provide the foundation for League
action, including the legislative priorities established
each year by the League of Women Voters of Virginia.
League Issue Groups meet on Zoom, either monthly or according
to schedules set by each group, to study public policy issues
and help develop positions. Women's Legislative Roundtables
are weekly public forums held during the Virginia General
Assembly session, where legislators, advocates, and League
leaders share updates.
